ActSafe Power Ascender Training
Training in the safe operation, maintenance and emergency procedures for the ActSafe motorised power ascender.
Overview
This course is designed for specialists who already have a foundation in rope access or work at height and will be using motorised power ascenders such as the ActSafe in their work. It covers safe start-up, operation, maintenance and how to respond if the device malfunctions.

Device design
ActSafe components, operating principle and technical specifications.
Safe operation
Practical training in start-up, raising/lowering control, and staying within load limits.
Maintenance and malfunctions
Daily inspection, common faults and how to respond to them.
Requirements for participants
- A valid rope-access or work-at-height qualification
- A medical certificate of fitness for work at height
Certification
On completion of the course, a certificate confirming competence as an ActSafe device operator is issued.
