Confined Space Entry Training
Training for safe work in confined, restricted-ventilation spaces, including atmospheric testing and rescue procedures.
Overview
This course is designed for workers who operate in confined spaces — tanks, wells, manholes, silos and other spaces with limited ventilation. Training covers risk assessment, atmospheric monitoring, permit systems and rescue procedures.

- Maintenance staff at industrial facilities
- Utility workers (water supply, sewerage)
- Rescue and emergency response teams
Programme content
Risk assessment
Classification of confined spaces and the most common hazard types (oxygen deficiency, toxic gases).
Atmospheric monitoring
Using gas detectors before entry and during work.
Permit systems
Completing permits-to-work and the role of the attendant.
Rescue
Evacuation and confined-space rescue practice using specialized equipment.
Requirements for participants
- Minimum age of 18
- Medical certificate confirming fitness for confined-space work
- No claustrophobia limitations
Certification
On completion of the course, a certificate confirming competence in confined-space work is issued. Refresher training is recommended every 2 years.
