The course teaches participants to recognise life-threatening conditions, provide first aid and stabilise a casualty until professional medical help arrives, with attention to the specific conditions found in wind turbines.

Programme content
Basic life support
Practical training in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and AED use.
Managing injuries
Bleeding control, and first aid for fractures and burns.
First aid at height
The particular considerations of providing first aid when the casualty is suspended at height.
Requirements for participants
- Minimum age of 18
- No health conditions restricting physical practice
Certification
On completion of the course, participants receive a GWO BST First Aid certificate, registered in the GWO WINDA database. Valid for 24 months.
